State Senators Mark Fernald and Bev Hollingworth faced each other in a televised debate Wednesday night.
The primary is September 10th and the two democrats are vying to be New Hampshire's next governor.
The debate was produced by WMURTV and the Union Leader newspaper and also broadcast here on New Hampshire public television.
We'll have analysis in a moment. But first, some highlights.

Portsmouth and the seacoast area have come a long way since being settled in 1623. In 380 years it has gone from a thriving shipbuilding community to a high tech mecca some have taken to calling - the e-coast. It has been named best place to live in numerous polls over the years. It's full of great restaurants. And it draws a slew of tourists - year round. All of which helps to create a unique political scene here. To give us a primer on the political landscape here in the seacoast we visited Lars Trodson, city editer of the Portsmouth Herald.
